Artist's Comments

Original Size: 3565x1902 (but I had to resize it... I care a lot about your patience :D)

Inspired by Emo (Slang) Wikipedia. If I were you, I'd read this one first.

Excerpt: "Members of the emo subculture are portrayed by critics as melodramatic, self-pitying teenagers who pour their efforts into writing bad poetry and spending a great amount of time on MySpace."

Don't mind the inconsistencies; I'm not much of an artist :P Hoping this thing would be out in a T-shirt soon. HAHAHA.

Emo - started out as a genre of music.
Emocore: the original "emo" who could care less about pop music, and enjoy the glories of hardcore punk. (Check out the headphones!)
Emo Emo: the modern version of "emo" - black shirt with band name, plaid polo, black quasi-tight jeans and fringe bangs.
Emo Drag: the latest version of "emo" who's more on looking like a rejected boy band member with hairspray/wax/gum and mascara; extremely scene person and a fake suicidal. What's skinnier than my skinny jeans

Props to this website for the old school plaid patterns.

Cool. I'm really curious to know how you did this. Photoshop? Because this looks beyond me.

And for a subject that's been exhausted and criticized (though for good reason!) to death you've managed to inject some interest in it. For me at least. Props to you! :#1:

*Ecstasy*

It's traditional art. Then followed by scanning and lazy editing. Lol. The topic on "Emo" kids seems to interest me more than ever because lately like... there's been a lot of them. And... that's bad. HAHAHA. Or at least the fashion and personality is, but the music... there are some bad misconceptions about it.

Oops grammar check.

"Or at least the fashion and the personality DO,..." Lol. OC much? Ahoo ahoo!

OH yes, despite their scumminess emo kids are undeniably a fascinating species. I went up to Antipolo a couple of weeks ago and I saw this mingy emo boy in CHURCH of all places! LOL I gawked at the creature the whole time (simply because his strangeness was more interesting than the sermon lol) and figured out why he's so depressed--the thing looked so out of place in his smudged eyeliner and girl pants!

BAH I should've seen you instead!
:iconneanmoins:
Yeah there's a lot of emo kids in Antipolo, especially when you're on your way to Sumulong highway. It rhymes. I'm a part time rapper, just so you know. Haha.

Try going to the lower Antipolo. Lol. If there's a chance, you'd be seeing me running. Naked. HAHA. I walk from Town and Country Executive Village to New Marikina. I like to walk coz I see a lot. Haha. I like to observe a lot.

Ah okay. I didn't know you were an exhibitionist, Cynthia. But then I'm not really surprised... =P

I'll remember to drop by lower Antipolo next time I'm around there. :)

haha fascinating what the dictionary says and what gossipers tell but the best way to find out is observe which is what your doing... the concept is good i must say.
